Grants Scores / Reports

Each grant application is reviewed anonymously by three Grant Reviewers.Reviewers evaluate applications based on the information provided by student applicants, including the application form, budget worksheet, and required supporting materials. The evaluation criteria encompass the quality of the application, the purpose for which funding is sought and its relevance to the student's degree program, the benefits the proposed activity offers the student, the alignment of the proposed activities with the overall mission of the grant funding program, the completeness and detail of the budget information, and the adequacy of the supporting documentation provided.

Scoring Process:

GPSA relies on the support of graduate students to evaluate and score grant applications. Each application is read and scored anonymously by three (3) Grant Readers. The scoring process typically takes 3–4 weeks. Grant awards are determined based on the ranked scores produced by the Grant Application System, provided the applicants meet the eligibility criteria.

The number of applications that can be funded in any given period may vary based on the availability of funding.GPSA collaborates with UNM staff, including the Student Government Accounting Office (SGAO), to determine the amount of funding available for each grant cycle.
