Finance Vice Chair – Bhawana KafleMore About the Finance VC...- Bhawana Kafle is a public health researcher and PhD student in Health Equity Sciences at the University of New Mexico (UNM) College of Population Health (COPH), specializing in Global Health Equity and Policy. She completed her Master of Health Administration (MHA) at UNM in May 2026. She is also a Research Assistant at the UNM College of Nursing, where she contributes to research on health and weather-related disasters. With research experience in public health, health policy, maternal and child health, and health equity, she has presented her work at national conferences, including the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). Since 2024, she has served in leadership roles within the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA), including Public Relations Director in 2024–25, Grants Director in 2025–26, and currently Vice Finance Chair in 2026–27. Her research interests include health policy, health equity, health systems, maternal and child health, mental health, climate change, and the health of underserved populations.
