Become A Grant Reviewer
GPSA relies on the support of graduate students in evaluating and scoring the applications. As a GPSA Grant Reviewer, you determine which graduate and professional students will be awarded the grant they applied for each semester. This is a great way to learn about our grants process, provide helpful comments to students, strengthens your student research and professional development grant applications and get involved with the GPSA.
All enrolled, degree-seeking graduate students are eligible to become reviewers. We require our grant reviewers to attend a short training session and score 20-30 applications each (4-8 hours of work). We also ask that readers/reviewers be available to read last minute applications, re-read applications, and be available to attend any appeals that may arise.
We value your time and hard work. Reviewers will receive a stipend in the form of a scholarship through the Student Government Accounting Office (SGAO).
* All grant reviewers are compensated equally in accordace with the Grants Code.
* All stipends, grants and scholarships may be eligible to be taxed in accordance to UNM Guidelines.
