There are recent changes to the SRG and PDG application process. We have updated the score sheets and no longer require a letter of recommendation. A verification form with a faculty signature is now required. The verification form must be uploaded with the application. We are not accepting forms by email.
The PRG fund was created in 1998 to help graduate and professional students with travel expenses for events not covered under the SRG Grant. This includes travel to interviews, clinicals, mock-trials, auditions and conferences at which you are NOT presenting your own research. PRG grants help students begin to establish their professional career and extend their education through professional travel opportunities.
Students may receive up to $500 per academic year (from summer to spring). The GPSA Grants Committee runs funding cycles each semester. The deadlines for PRG are the fifth Friday of fall and spring semesters and the second Friday of summer term. The activity dates are summer (June 1 to August 14), fall (August 15 to December 31) and spring (January 1 to May 31). Applicants may fund activity in the current semester, the next semester, or one semester retroactively.
The following application materials are required:
- A 700 word proposal
- A specific, line item budget
- A faculty verification form (UPDATE!) that must be uploaded with the application
Before applying, we recommend reviewing new score sheet and then the FAQ. We strongly recommend writing your proposal to the score sheet, as this rubric denotes how readers will score your application.
If you want to appeal a grant funding decision, please read about the appeal process guidelines.
All questions should be directed to the Grant Committee Chair or Vice Chair at unmgpsagrants@gmail.com or call the GPSA office at 277-3803.
